After a traumatic incident during his residency, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital to start over. Dr. Harrison (actor and actress Michael Potts) suggests that James is struggling and has difficulty connecting with patients. Demons from James’ past begin to catch up with him when they lead him to the case of a young asthmatic (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER AGAIN) who is experiencing mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to slip as his disturbing nightmares, anxiety-fueled speculations, and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the medical world. Director Alex Thompson assembles a strong cast of veteran actors as he follows SAINT FRANCES – and its predecessor GhostLIGHT – in this humanistic and unconventional genre revision.
