In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: where the hell was Batman?
After the events of “Batman” (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, tries to take over the Gotham criminal underworld. Aside from the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we’ve never had a Robert Pattinson cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but to no avail.

However, in his own series, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user who prefers cigars. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to that of Warner Bros.. Featured in Graham Norton & Guest: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).
But after the first episode, I can confirm that this show is great (so far)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood why a skinny, handsome, toned actor was cast with huge prosthetics and a heavy suit… especially when I think about how other famous actors look like who would be just as good. I also didn’t really understand why this spin-off was necessary, and to be honest, I’m just sick of Batman reboots.
But I didn’t expect to like it this much
I only watched it because I knew it was necessary to watch it as a bridge between the first and second movies and my unexpected enjoyment of Farrell in the first movie. The acting is great, the writing is excellent, and it surprised me with some quick turns. Most of all, I liked that there was a lot more color than in “Batman”.
I hope the movie is as good as before because I’m really looking forward to the next episode
I noticed this almost immediately, because for me it was a big complaint about the movie (I felt like I was watching it through Zack Snyder’s lens).
